Every pick on this site is researched and checked by our Norway travel specialist, whose full profile is being added here shortly. What matters in the meantime is the method, which does not change with the byline: every rating, review count, duration, meeting point, seasonal window and cancellation term on this site is read off the operator's live GetYourGuide, Viator or TourRadar listing, and the aurora, daylight, railway and fjord facts come from primary Norwegian sources rather than other travel blogs.
How the fact-checking works
The rules this site holds itself to, in plain language:
- Ratings are the platforms' own. When a tour shows "4.8 across 6,770 reviews", that is the operator's current GetYourGuide figure, attributed as such, never our invention. Figures get refreshed when listings change.
- No printed prices. Tour prices move with season, currency and demand, so we never print one; every card routes to the operator's live listing where today's price sits.
- Primary sources for facts. Aurora season windows, polar-night and midnight-sun dates, UNESCO status, railway gradients and whale migration windows come from official Norwegian sources and the operators, tracked internally with the date each was verified.
- Honesty about chance. Aurora and whales are wildlife-grade experiences. No page on this site claims a guaranteed sighting, because no honest operator does either.
- Disclosed affiliate model. We earn a commission when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you, disclosed in the footer of every page and detailed on the disclosure page.
